Ms. Washington's goal is to help minorities understand the seriousness of this disease and prevent it from happening to them.


Lynda Gail Washington is the Co-Founder and Vice-President of the Let Us Live Foundation, Inc. Ms. Washington is the second of her parents five children. A native
of Savannah, GA, she was diagnosed with kidney failure 5 years ago while giving blood at a blood drive in her former place of work. “All I could do was cry. I wanted to know, why did this have to happen to me?” High blood pressure was the silent culprit which caused the demise of her kidneys.

“My wish is to prevent this from happening to anyone else”! In doing so Ms Washington co-founded the Let Us Live Foundation along with Lisa Monroe. Divorced and the mother of two, Ms. Washington resides in North Fulton County, in Atlanta, GA. She lives a full and productive life in spite of her three times per week dialysis treatment regimen. Ms. Washington is the President of Galilee Seafoods, LLC a family operated seafood wholesale business, Vice-Chair on the Board of the Let Us Live Foundation and a Team Leader for the Children’s Ministry at her church Word of Faith Cathedral in Austell, GA. Traveling is also one of her past times. My faith in God empowers me to deal with ill health". Her goal is to help minorities understand the seriousness of this disease and prevent it from happening to them. Ms. Washington remains optimistic about the future. “I am looking forward to a new life and a new husband. Brighter days are truly ahead of me. God is so good”!
