Lisa Trotman Monroe is the Founder and President of the Let Us Live Foundation. Born and raised in Queens, New York she is the eldest of three siblings. At the tender age
of 17
Ms. Monroe was diagnosed with End-stage Renal Disease (ESRD) due to high blood pressure. Ms. Monroe has faced
a life of serve challenges, unfortunate circumstances, and difficulties. Through it all her faith gave her the inner strength to endure and overcome life's adversities.
The Let Us Live Foundation was formed as a support system to fellow kidney patients. Let Us Live touches the lives of others as well; by inspiring them to live an enriched and fulfilling life in spite of their circumstances. |

Ms. Monroe maintains a full quality of life even though she has miraculously been a kidney patient for twenty years and has had two kidney transplants. College educated, she has formerly held the positions as On-Air talent for a well known New York radio station, Assistant to the Associate Producer and a TV Personality at a local TV station in Atlanta. Ms. Monroe has been featured on NBC for her life story. Currently, Ms. Monroe is President and Founder of Lisa's Renal and Transplant Club, an on-line renal support club for the renal community, Chief Executive Officer of the Let Us Live Foundation and Renal Representative for the Southeastern Kidney Council. Many e-mails flood her mailbox from all across the country soliciting her help. She also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Let Us Live Foundation. Several awards grace Ms. Monroe's mantle for her excellent work in the community.
Ms. Monroe travels across the country sharing her extraordinary inspirational story with others. Her message goes far beyond racial, cultural and socioeconomic barriers. The latest project of Ms. Monroe is "Living Beyond Your Circumstances: The Testimony of A Modern Day Job". This book is powerful tool which teaches you how to overcome life's adversities. The book is scheduled for Summer 2007. Ms. Monroe is a powerful inspirational speaker and is available for speaking engagements, conferences, and events.
